CYCLING VIETNAM TO CAMBODIA 20 DAYS 

Dear Client,

Here is the Draft Itinerary Of Biking Vietnam & Cambodia 20 Days.

Day 1: Saigon - Cu Chi Saigon (Biking)

Our team brings you to head to Cu Chi Tunnels and drop at the start biking point at Ben Nay after an hour by support vehicle. Fitting your top quality Cannondale, Trek or Giant mountain bikes with helmets are ready for you to start the exciting road trip of 25 to 30 km. Guided by a well English spoken biker, you will ride the back roads and hidden dirt trails to escape the crowds and bus tourists and to see the real Southern Vietnam. You will have a local lunch after finishing half of the cycling trip.

Explore Cu Chi Tunnels, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating the authentic Viet Cong tunnel system, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. Afterward, you return to Saigon around 17h and free venture Saigon By Night.

Day 2: Saigon - My Tho (Biking)

After you are met at hotels in HCM, an hour drive to Binh Chanh rural Dist for a full day ride. We ride on the back road to Can Giuoc. A short break at Don Rach Cat base which the French built 1903 to protect Vietnam from oversea attacks. Then we’ll continue cycling to Vam Co Dong River and take a public ferry to Go Cong. In the afternoon, after cycling 20 km we will have another ferry crossing before we ride on a quiet back road to Cho Gao overnight in My Tho City.

Day 3: My Tho - Tra Vinh (Biking)

After your breakfast at the hotel, a short transfer to Ben Tre city, the ride starts from the urban district. Today is a long way to go. Most routes are country back roads so you can enjoy scenery and locals all the way. There will be many rivers you will cross; Ham Luong River and Co Chien Rivers and many small other rivers to urban Dist of Tra Vinh city.

Day 4: Tra Vinh - Soc Trang (Biking)

From the hotel, we follow a small road which links to rural villages, we continue to ride through villages, local markets to Cau Quan. Lunch will be served in Dai Ngai town after taking 2 ferries through Cu Lao Dung islet. From local restaurant highway 60, we turn into small road to explore untouched villages all the way to Soc Trang

Day 5: Soc Trang - Can Tho (Biking)

 

Day 6: Can Tho - Rach Gia (Biking).

Have breakfast before you enjoy a boat ride to Cai Rang floating market. Your boat will go through this market slowly and you will have an opportunity to watch the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals. Disembark from your boat for another land market where you could find all kinds of farm products here. Then we’ll bike on dirt tracks through country villages, rice-paddy and cross a network of canals to Thoi Lai and Giong Rieng Dist. We will end our cycling today and have a transfer to Rach Gia city in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Rach Gia - Phu Quoc Island (No Biking)

There is no cycling today. The group will take a high speed boat to Phu Quoc Island. It takes about 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to the dock of Super Dong. Boarding at 8:30am and the boat ride takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to get to Bai Vong dock. You will be taken to the hotel for check in. Free to relax your tired legs on the beach after so many days cycling.

Day 8: Phu Quoc Island Free & Easy (No Biking)

Organizing your own activities to be rested for the next adventure cycling.

Day 9: Phu Quoc Cycling Halfway & Fishing On Boat (Biking).

Enjoy half day fishing on a private boat with Lunch on boat and cycling through the Phu Quoc National Park.

Day 10: Phu Quoc Island - Ha Tien (No Biking)

We will have a half day riding on Phu Quoc Island. The group will start cycling from the hotel, ride on the coastal road to Duong Dong town, then we keep riding on the coastal road and turn right and ride on a dirty track through national park to Thanh Thoi Dock. Enjoy an hour and 20 minutes on the big ferry to Ha Tien.

Day 11: Ha Tien - Kep (Biking)

After breakfast, we’ll start to ride from the hotel past the Mac Cuu Family Tombs and along the beach to the Xa Xia border. Once in Cambodia, your Cambodian team awaits you to hand over the bikes and give you a warm welcome to Cambodia. Our ride in Cambodia starts with an amazing rural ride from the border to Kep. Kep is a small beach town with much colonial charm tucked away from the beach. On our ride today we will see many farmers looking at you curiously from under their rice hats and children shouting hello to us. Upon arrival in Kep we check in at the hotel and take the rest of the day off. Overnight in Kep.

Day 12: Kep - Sihanouk Ville (Biking)

We’ll depart today for a 50km ride to Cambodia’s premier beach resort, Sihanoukville. This ride is beautiful and all over good tarmac roads. As we cycle, we’ll catch glimpses of the Gulf of Thailand here and there. This very quiet and relaxing ride passes by Kampot and its Damrei Mountains (or Elephant Hills). On top of these hills is Bokor Hill Station which is visible from the road. These mountains form a perfect backdrop of today’s ride. In Kampot we enjoy a short cycle or walk through this provincial capital with its many well preserved French colonial buildings. We cycle onwards through the paddy fields towards Veal Rinh. There we can choose to transfer or cycle the additional 40km over the 7 hills of Sihanoukville.

Day 13: Sihanouk Ville - Phnom Penh (Biking).

After breakfast we are free to enjoy a morning at the beach. After lunch at 2PM we’ll start our transfer to Cambodia’s capital; Phnom Penh, which was once considered the most beautiful city in the orient. The remains of many colonial buildings are still present in the city. Phnom Penh has several world famous landmarks to visit, which mostly relate to Cambodia's turbulent past. We check into our hotel and are free to fill in dinner.

Day 14: Phnom Penh - Kampong Thom (Biking)

 

Day 15: Konpong Thom - Siem Reap (Biking).

 

Day 16: Siem Reap - Angkor Complex Cycling (Biking).

 

Day 17: Siem Reap - Bantey Srei - Siem Reap (Biking & Boating)

Early in the morning, leaving the hotel and bike pass the jungle heading to the remote area of Angkor complex to the Bantay Srey which was believed was built by female artists. You will pass the countryside of Khmer people and stop to see how people make sugar and local vodka from “tnoat”- Khmer sugar palm. The trip end with the lunch at the long house of “Bong Thom” in the middle of the organic rice farm.

Afternoon lunch, you will be transferred to Tonle Sap for a Sunset Boat Trip. Your dinner will be hosted at one of the finest local restaurants in town.

Day 18: Angkor Culture & Sight-Seeing Tour (No Biking).

Complete your general knowledge about the Angkor Era.

Day 19: Free & Easy in Siem Reap (No Biking).

You completely have a full rest day with your own exploring activities in Siem Reap such as: shopping, swimming or taking a tuk tuk to experience any charming places in this jungle city.

Day 20: Siem Reap Departure - End Of Service (No Biking).
